Hello 2024: whats in store?

Move over fireworks, enter the era of the drone show! This innovative spectacle offers a fresh and elevated take on the traditional fireworks display. Drone shows are not only more environmentally friendly, thanks to the absence of smoke associated with fireworks, but they also provide greater customisation and choreography options to reflect the couple’s unique story. It’s a win-win situation in our book.

The days of sweetheart tables, it seems, are behind us, as is cake-cutting; by the time the cake is cut and distributed, your guests are hopefully on the dance floor. The goal is to keep the celebration going, not coax them back to their seats.  And while a white-and-green colour palette is always a classic, many couples want more distinguishable, personal decor. We are seeing a lot of bold patterns, a lot more colour; people are getting more adventurous when it comes to designing their wedding.

The right wedding décor can add life to a setting, add personality to a blank canvas, and provide insight into your relationship. In the wedding space, decorative elements are continuously evolving, and each year gives way to a new set of trends. In 2023, we saw an explosion of colour enter the scene, along with personalised light fixtures and custom-built structures. For 2024, experts are predicting that innovative and bold decorations, colours, and designs will take centre stage.

In 2024 we see our couples mixing unexpected shades together as a way to express themselves and create unparalleled settings. Mixing colours in this way infuses a wedding with sentimental meaning and creates a deeper connection to the celebration for the couple and the guests alike. We see visions of soft, muted palettes featuring a bold pop of colour or warm tones fused with cool ones for an interesting look.

If you’re wondering which colours will work for your wedding, we advises selecting ones that are reminiscent of memorable moments in your relationship, whether a colour that brings you back to your favourite holiday or associated with your family and some precious memory.

The choice of venue and decorations sets the tone for your wedding and creates the atmosphere you desire. In recent years, couples have been embracing unique and unconventional venues, such as barns, forests, parks and industrial spaces.  Couples are also exploring alternative decoration options to traditional floral arrangements. We have observed a particular trend involving the use of greenery, such as eucalyptus and ferns, to create lush and natural setting. In addition to adding a touch of elegance, this trend complements a variety of wedding themes, from boho chic to minimalistic."

Another trend that has gained popularity is the use of hanging installations. Whether it's cascading flowers or whimsical lanterns, these installations add a sense of drama and create a stunning focal point in any venue. They also provide a unique backdrop for your wedding photos, ensuring that every moment is captured in a magical setting.

We also see the modest DISCO BALL and mirrored elements making a big impact in 2024, from fireplace decor to accessories that can be used as props or just to add a bit of atmosphere to the dancefloor. Whether you are having a classic elegant wedding or opting for a more colourful aesthetic, disco balls are the perfect versatile accessory.

The main thing to remember is that it’s YOUR wedding day and it should reflect you. If colour isn’t for you, then don’t worry you are not alone, there will be plenty of couples preferring the neutral white and green or white on white palette and that’s OK! Whatever your style choose what makes you smile and that you want to look at for the next 50 years in your photos. You do you.

We are here for you whatever your needs. Talk to us about how we can bring your vision to life!
